Rayel and Darren are an adorable Vancouver Island couple who tied the knot this summer, despite the little COVID-19 chaos-maker. For their engagement session, we chose a warm August evening and met at Notch Hill in Nanoose Bay. Naturally, we trudged up the mountain taking the least convenient path, but it also happened to be a beautiful one bathed in warm golden light.
Once we reached the top, they had themselves a frolick before popping the prosecco and we enjoyed the view from the top. Before long, the sun dipped further to the West and we caught ourselves chasing it to a nearby field that Darren eyed on the way up, and it was so worth the extra stop and fence hopping into the freshly cut hayfield. They danced together as the sun disappeared, and I kid you not they have some impressive dancing skills.
This session with Rayel & Darren really made my heart sing, with their fun nature and willingness to hike mountains and hop a fence for photos!
